We had a great week stay at this resort. Valeria (reception) was so sweet and helpful. This place is pure art, the gardens are beautiful, the pool is refreshing, and the little details make this place an absolute gem. It is also perfectly located near Playa Zicatela and numerous restaurants. Don't forget to grab fresh cold coconuts from the family in the alley leading up to the hotel.
Perfect choice for a traditional hotel. We got the best room - penthouse with kitchen and splash pool, and we used the pool several times per day. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location is 5 mins walking from the playa Principal (shops and restaurants), and right near the bus station. 1 block back from highway to convenient but still quiet. AC worked great, and the grounds and pool were clean. Chairs and hammocks in the pool area were a little "aged", but everything worked fine. Free drinking water in the lobby. Stairs only (but this is true of the whole town!)
Great family oriented hotel. Stayed here twice. It is very lovely & has much old world charm. Note the hotel does have it's quirks; however being a lover of antiquities everything was just wonderful. The pool is maintained meticulously everyday & was quite delightful. Rooms where clean, showers in the Hotel pump hot water & ice cold air conditioning. The second time we rented we where able to stay in the property's rustic Airbnb apt. We did like this more as it was more spacious, screened windows & fans. However since there was little to no hot water it would be classified as an indigenous rental. The security of the hotel for the area is above average & you will be safe staying here. Overall it was a great experience both times.
An older hotel but very clean and our room (suite) was huge. The rooms were cleaned daily and we were topped up with fresh towels, soaps and shampoo. The location is great, however the hotel doesn't serve food or drinks (there are plenty of options around so it's not an issue). I would suggest that the rooms keep a hairdryer, but other than that, no complaints!
Beautiful hotel with very nice staff. It could use some maintenance because it’s a bit dated but has a great pool and balcony. Recommend it !

Great value. Few blocks to the Playa Principal. There is no restaurant or bar service, but plenty available nearby. It is an old property with a nice pool and acceptable rooms. The pillows and bed linens did pass the stringent smell test. Showers ran hot. Staff was good. The parking lot entrance is tight for big pickup trucks, but manageable. Parking lot is secure. Recommended.
Great place to stay in Puerto Escondido!! The staff here is great, Federico will make you a great breakfast and Cecilia and Guillermo are excellent hosts. They will make sure you have a great time! The hotel is very nicely located between the important beaches. It is only a short walk anywhere in the town. The hotel itself has A/C and a beautiful pool if you don't feel like going anywhere. The views are also incredible from the top floor suites! Highly recommend! Muchas gracias!!
One of the hotels in the area, full of character, very quiet and tranquil, lovely pool area to relax in especially late afternoon/ early evening. Very close to the bus terminal too for those arriving/ departing PE by bus. Special to wake up to sounds of birds singing at dawn seeing the sun rise … Guillermo is super-helpful with local tips for things to do, places to go to, restaurants and cafes to eat at etc! We’d highly recommend Hotel Paraiso.
A great find. Highly recommended! A more classic and charming Mexican hotel rather than a soulless chain. Amazing hotel, a gentle 5 minute stroll in one direction to the beach, the supermarket in the other direction. Close enough to the bars and amazing little restaurants, but far enough away not to be disturbed. Very clean. Great pool. Very nice gardens. The staff however set it apart from other hotels. If you get the chance please do visit
